Alerts & Notifications for medications
Reach allows you to create alert profiles that can notify students, staff or parents about upcoming or missed medications. For the Medications Module this means that you can;
schedule notifications that are sent to students to remind them to take their medications
schedule notifications that are sent to staff to alert them about missed medications that may need attention
Customise your alert profiles
In your student population requiring scheduled PMO medications each day some medications may be very time sensitive and require rigorous monitoring whilst others may require less rigorous monitoring.
Reach allows you to customise how you use alert notifications by allowing you to;
create multiple alert notification templates
determine who gets notified for each alert notification
create a sequence of time based alerts which can escalate an upcoming or missed medications to a range of people, and
determine which scheduled PMO medications have alert notification structures assigned to them.
Creating alert profiles
Alert profiles are created in the Alerts settings module at System Configuration > Alerts. For a detailed guide on how to create an alert profile go to How to create a medication alert profile.
One a medication alert profile is created it can be assigned to a any scheduled medication.
How to assign alert profiles to scheduled medications
When a PMO medication has been assigned to a student Reach will assess the scheduled time(s) for the medication and create the alert assignment interface.
Note that thalert assignment interface can only be created after the medication has been initially saved so it is necessary to save the medication first before you can assign alert profiles to the scheduled time(s).
You can assign a medication alert profile to each of the scheduled times in a Daily time schedule. For Frequency Pattern schedules you can assign one alert profile for all times in the frequency pattern.
