Students who have recurring leave events can create a single leave request, with a single approval process to pre-approve a seqeunce of recurring leave events using the Recursion field in their REACH Leave Request.
By selecting the "Use Pattern" option in the Recursion field you are able to create the recurring leave pattern for the leave event.
Once selected, the Recursion Pattern fields become available and you are able to set the recurring leave days and also whether the event is occurring for a fixed number or times or if it has an expiry date.
One request, one permission for the whole set of recurring leave events
When a Recurring leave event is submitted REACH creates a series of leave requests with the appropriate settings that can be approved via the one permissions workflow for that leave request. If the leave is approved then ALL items in the recurring leave will be set as approved.
Only the most recent leave event will be displayed in the Manage Leave screen from a recurring set of leave events however you can modify any individual event at any time.
How to change the details of one recurring leave event in a set
Opening the Leave Overview Dashboard will allow you to view the future leave profile of every student in your school. If the leave event is visible in the initial Overview display then you can click to open the leave event and alter and details you need to change. If the leave event is not visible in the Overview display you can open a student's individual leave calendar by clicking on the calendar icon beside their name. Find the leave event you want to change and click to open.
