Boarder Performance Reports

Create valuable feedback reports for boarding students

Perfomance Reports is a module that lets you design, mark and distribute any number of performance reporting templates to your students in REACH.

Report templates can be used to great report designs and mark students. A reporting history will generate for each individual that is being marked in the Performance Reports menu of the student's profile and completed reports can be distributed to parents and made accessible to them via their REACH login.

There are three components to the Performance Report module:

  1. Template Management is where you design your report templates, create the reporting sections, the layout and the scoring or comment sections for each report template.

  2. Report Management is where you determine which Templates are currently open for scoring and who the subjects are for that report.

  3. Report Scoring Matrix is the dashboard where you score the components for each report template that is currently open for completion.

1.  Creating Report Templates

Report templates are the designs that you create and use to publish your performance reports.  You can design an unlimited number of report templates and within each template you can set the following design profiles.

  • Report Heading text
  • Single or double column layouts
  • Unlimited number of sections, with section name
  • Unlimited number of questions per section
  • Each question can be either a star rating or free text component

Step 1 - Create new template

Click the Create New template button and provide your template with a name and report heading.  Determine also whether your template will be single column of content when published or two column design.

Step 2 - Create report sections

When creating a section you need to

  • Provide your section with a heading or title
  • Determine whether questions in your section will display content side-by-side or as question-new line–answer

Step 3  -  Set your questions

You an create any number of questions within each section by clicking the Add New Question button. With each question you can determine whether the answer or content will be a star rating system or free text comment.

If you set your question as a star rating answer type then you can also set the minimum and maximum number of stars. In addition, for each question you can determine its sequence within the section by setting the ordinal number sequence.

Edit your templates at any time

You can edit your report template by adding new sections or questions, or editing existing sections or questions at any time.

 2.  Report Management

The Report Management section is used to control which report templates are being used or are open for marking and when they will remain open.

  1.   Create a reference name for the report that you want to produce (eg: Boarding Indicators Report - Term2 2019)
  2.   Select the template that you want to use for your report
  3.   Select the start and end dates for the reporting period

Open reports will become available for marking in the Report Scoring Matrix for the duration of their open period.

Multiple Reports

You can have multiple report templates open for marking at any time.

 3. Report Scoring Matrix

The Report Scoring Matrix is your report marking dashboard. Here you will see a list of the reports that are currently open for marking and content fields for each of the relevant questions for each section.

Scoring or marking your reports

For scoring questions, clicking on the content field will open the star rating modal where you can score the individual for the relevant question.

For Free Text questions a text entry modal will open for you to add your free text content.

Publishing your completed reports

When you have completed marking your reports and you are ready to publish your completed reports you can print the template to PDF documents by clicking the Print Visible button on the Reports Scoring Matrix page. This wil collate your date into the design template and prepare a multi page PDF document for you to print and distribute.

For students, published reports will be saved to their student profile historic records in the Performance Reporting menu of the Boarder Summary dashboard.  Parents will also receive a linked on their login where they can view and print completed and published student performance reports.
